Crown Princess Mary opened the "The World in the Viking Age" which presents the Viking Age in the new global context today at the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde.
The exhibition focuses on the 800 maritime network where sailing ships made it possible to reach the worlds far from the familiar. In sørejsernes nodes emergence of new, complex cultures and cities, networks and communities.
